Vintage High School Alumni Association Board Application
Mission Statement
VHSAA seeks to provide support for the Vintage High School community by promoting alumni interest, engaging alumni to contribute their expertise, encouraging alumni and community involvement in student programs and services, and providing social, business and charitable opportunities.
Serve the entire Vintage family by deepening alumni engagement in the life of the school to ensure the vitality and future success of Vintage High graduates.
Purpose:
Enhance existing alumni program activities, focus on improving participation
Develop new events and activities that focus on alumni opportunities to re-engage alumni with the school
Increase participation in an Annual Fund toward a goal of achieving an alumni giving program
Improve communication with and among alumni
Increase the visibility of the Alumni Association and its goals in campus life
Ongoing:
Provide scholarships
Support Reunion activities
Support programs that promote the personal, professional and service successes of our Vintage alumni
Support and plan the execution program and events that increase Alumni contact with Vintage High School
Support programs targeted to keep young alumni connected with Vintage
Increase giving and philanthropic support of Vintage High School
Board Qualifications
Candidates should meet several of these qualifications:
Graduate of Vintage High School
Member of the Vintage High School Alumni Association
History of financial support to the school and a willingness to demonstrate financial support within the term of board service
Experience with non-profits, board service & governance, fundraising, events planning, etc.
Availability and interest in serving and engaging in VHSAA activities and alumni board meetings
Willingness and ability to identify and recruit potential donors and sponsors
Demonstrated advocacy for the school
Willingness to openly interact and engage students and other fellow alumni
Past volunteer for school events and programs
Leadership experience
Expectations
A volunteer board of directors leads the Alumni Association. Our success depends on the personal commitment and active involvement of the individuals who embrace the privilege to serve and the responsibility to lead. Board members agree to support the school and the Alumni Association, to uphold the association’s mission and meet the duties and expectations detailed below:
Attend alumni board meetings
Support, promote and attend association initiatives and events
Proactively volunteer your expertise, time, and support where needed
Identify new potential board and committee candidates to represent the alumni effectively
Process
Submit the board application form below. New board positions will take effect January 26, 2026. Board selections will be made six months in advance of new board position date to allow a time period for shadowing before stepping into the role.
